Plastics extrusion is a high-volume manufacturing process in which raw plastic is melted and formed into a continuous profile (Wikipedia). Extrusion can be used to produce pipe and tubing, fencing, plastic films and sheeting, thermoplastic coatings, wire insulation and a great may other items. The process begins with feeding plastic material (granules, pellets, powders or flakes) from a hopper into the barrel of the extruder. This material is gradually melted via mechanical energy generated by turning screws and further by heaters arranged along the barrel. The molten polymer is then forced into a die, producing the desired shape, which then hardens during cooling. At Fastrak, we’re capable of producing the most complex shapes to meet all of your requirements.
At Fastrak, we’ve taken every step to ensure that totally prepared to give you exactly what you need.
